How to enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
In this tutorial we will learn how to add two-factor authentication (2FA) to your account for enhanced security.
When 2FA is enabled, you’ll log in using your password AND a one-time code from an authenticator app installed on your phone (e.g. Google Authenticator). This makes it much harder for anyone else to access your account—even if they know your password.
Get Started
From the menu bar select My profile
Now select Security
The two-factor authentication page is displayed.
The first step is to enter a recovery email address. This is important because it is used to recover your account if you lose access to your authenticator app.
We are now ready to setup our authenticator app. Click on Setup 2FA
The next steps are performed using the authenticator app on your phone. If you don’t have an authenticator app you can download one from the app store on your phone for free. There are various apps available such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator etc.
Scan the QR code with your authenticator app on your phone, and enter the 6 digit verification code that is displayed. In this example the code is 123456.
Next click Verify & Enable
That’s it. Two factor authentication is now enabled on your account.
